Looking to decode and display Ham (Amateur) Radio SSTV (Slow Scan TV) transmissions without the need for a bulky computer? Look no further than SSTV Pad. With this app, you can easily connect your device to an HF radio or place it next to the radio's speaker, tune in to an SSTV frequency, and enjoy the pictures. SSTV Pad supports all popular SSTV modes, including Robot, Scottie, Martin, and more (some modes are receive only).

The app automatically starts decoding SSTV transmissions as soon as the start of image audio signals is detected, automatically selecting the image format. However, manual control is also available for use in poor receiving conditions. Additionally, timing signals can be adjusted to compensate for mismatches with the sending station.

Among its features, SSTV Pad allows you to save received images as they come in automatically. You can also leave the app running unattended and review all the received images later. Images can be sent via email or transferred to your computer using iTunes file sharing. If you'd like to share them on social media, you can even post them on your Facebook page or tweet them to your followers directly from the app (requires iOS 6 or later).

Furthermore, SSTV Pad enables you to transmit images using saved photos or those captured with your device's camera. It also allows you to add text, such as your callsign, to the sent image.

To get started decoding and displaying SSTV transmissions in just minutes, simply purchase your copy of SSTV Pad today. All you need to do is set your iPhone or iPad next to the radio speaker and watch the pictures come rolling in.

Note: If you cannot see the transmit button, go to the Accessibility settings for your device and turn Button Shapes OFF. It makes the buttons too large so you cannot see them all.

It is essential to have a well-tuned signal of good quality and to ensure that the audio from your radio reaches your device without additional distortion in order for the auto start and mode detect features to work optimally. You can also use Bluetooth audio devices to feed audio into your device, but make sure to use a high-quality Bluetooth device that doesn't distort the audio.
